Selling Your iPhone to FlipaCell: Shipping, Inspection, and Payment
Understand the mail-in buyback process
A prepaid label is only one part of selling an iPhone online. Before you ship, check the device details, packing requirements, inspection rules, and payment method. This guide explains the FlipaCell process so you can decide whether it fits your needs.
Check eligibility before packing
FlipaCell buys eligible iPhones from U.S. sellers. Use the current quote tool to check your model, storage, carrier status, and condition. Damaged or carrier-locked phones may qualify when listed. We do not buy Activation-Locked, lost, or stolen phones. Contact us before sending a financed or loaned device to review ownership or payoff documentation.
Get an offer for the phone you actually have
Disclose scratches, cracked glass, battery issues, nonworking features, and repairs. An initial quote is based on these answers and is subject to inspection after arrival. We do not promise that every device receives the highest offer available from every buyer.
If you compare offers, use the same model, storage, lock status, and condition. Compare cash with cash; promotional bill credits or store credit may have different conditions and restrictions.
Use your free inbound shipping label
Eligible buybacks receive a prepaid inbound shipping label. Check your confirmation email and its shipping deadline. Use a sturdy box and cushioning so the iPhone cannot move inside. Follow the carrier instructions on your label and keep the drop-off receipt and tracking number.
If you cannot find your label, check spam or junk, then contact us with your order number. If you do not have a printer or suitable packaging, ask about your options before shipping; do not assume supplies are included.
Prepare your data and accounts
Back up and transfer your information, confirm your replacement device and mobile service work, sign out of your Apple Account, remove Find My and Activation Lock, erase personal data, and remove any physical SIM. Follow the pre-erasure checklist.
Understand inspection and revised offers
Incoming packages are video recorded during unboxing and inspection. We check the device’s details and condition. If they differ from the submitted information, we may send a revised offer. You can accept or decline it.
If you decline a revised offer, you must provide a prepaid return label and cover return shipping. Review the Terms of Service before sending your device.
Choose your payment method
The current checkout offers PayPal, Cash App, Venmo, and paper check. Payment follows receipt, inspection, and acceptance under the Terms of Service. Delivery time depends on the selected method, and paper checks require mailing time. Check your payout details carefully.
